Alex & Fiona have worked together since 2010 in a specialist school for young people with autism, communication & interaction difficulties and complex behaviour in West Yorkshire. They created the Deep Pressure Touch programme as a way to safely meet the sensory needs of the young people they were working with and to reduce dysregulation and anxiety within the classroom. They have since trained hundreds of people in this programme. 

They have trained school staff in both mainstream and special school settings, Early years settings, SENCO's,  residential home staff, NHS staff and more.

Alex is a fully qualified OT and an advanced sensory integration practitioner. Alex has her own private practice. She completes assessments in both mainstream and special schools across Yorkshire. Alex has been a qualified Occupational Therapist since 2007 initially starting in the NHS and then moving into education in 2010. Alex works in a school for children with communication and interaction difficulties with Fiona one day per week. Alex has three young children of her own. 

Fiona is a fully qualified and insured Specialist Aromatherapist. She has worked in special education for over 24 years. For the last 13 years she has worked solely as a specialist therapist with young people with autism, communication & interaction difficulties and complex behaviours. Fiona has three children of her own.

Fiona works in school 4 days a week and the rest of her time is spent working on her own business offering aromatherapy well-being products and private consultation services.
